The Oregon Bluegrass Association & Wintergrass 2010

The Oregon Bluegrass Association is to have a suite at Wintergrass!   Please stop by and say hello, pick a bit with other members (not limited to members) , take a look at some of our award-winning “Bluegrass Express” issues, hang out, pick a bit… You get the picture.  If you have a band, or are a luthier with instruments to show, please contact Matt Snook (He is listed at http://www.oregonbluegrass .org on the board member page or pull my email address off of this posting) and let him know when you’d like to book the suite – we’ll be putting up flyers, entries on the Wintergrass digital bulletin board, etc.
Oregon (or regional) bands and luthiers who will showcase their wares here at the suite! So far:
Kenny and Amanda Smith! I don’t know when, but they have offered to stop by
the OBA suite and pick a few with amiable Oregon folks! How many times does
that come your way? Stay tuned. After they get settled into Bellevue, we’ll post a Date and time… 🙂
Thursday:
11 PM Carver Mandolins – come on in for some jamming and mandolin tasting
with Chris Standridge of Carver Mandolins!
Friday: 6:30 PM – Arrow Guitars of Mosier Oregon will fill the suite with guitars,
mandolins, mando-cellos. .. Come and meet Paul Lestock and try some great
instruments.
8:00 PM Northern Departure will do their thing for an hour. Hot music. 🙂
Saturday:
11:00 PM – Green Mountain Bluegrass Band will play for an hour some driving
hard core bluegrass music, Oregon style. If you don’t get to Eugene too
often or haven’t heard them, now’s your chance.
Midnight: Newgrass Jam open to everybody. Come and pick your favorite
“outside the box” or “not quite” bluegrass. 🙂

There are 5 levels of parking below Bellevue Place, which is the complex where the Hyatt is located. There are over 1000 parking spots there. Those lots are connected directly to additional lots below Lincoln Place, right across the street. If you are staying at the hotel, you will have FREE PARKING. If you are attending Wintergrass and you  park at any time during the day and leave after 8pm, parking is also FREE. The gate goes up at 8pm. If you leave BEFORE 8PM, there are parking charges, but there are a bunch of ways to get parking  validation – at any number of restaurants or shops. In addition to all that parking, there is a huge amount of space available across the street at Bellevue Square.  All of that parking is free but alittle bit of a walk but not that far. You can see where all of the parking lots are by taking a look at the complex map.   Check out this post for dining info
